Kate Hudson continued her awards season platform streak on Saturday evening. The “Song Sung Blue” star tapped into the crispy white shoe trend in a pair of white Alevì Milano Clio sandals at the 2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards Nominees’ Party at the National Portrait Gallery in London.
The Italian label’s Clio style is a cage-front platform sandal built from laminated calf leather with a five-centimeter platform and a high stiletto heel, finished with a buckle ankle strap and round toe. While the white colorway no longer seems to be available, the silhouette appears on the designer’s site in metallic silver at €570 (about $620), with Alevì’s signature pearl set into the leather sole — a detail that appears just under the arch of Hudson’s pair.

Hudson paired the sandals with a black Ralph Lauren Harling leather bustier and a white Ralph Lauren spring 2026 skirt, styled with a long ivory coat. A red pedicure provided a pop of color to the black and white ensemble.
The Alevì pair slotted into a run of tall footwear Hudson has worn while promoting “Song Sung Blue.” In January, she chose Aquazzura’s Romance Plateau 130 velvet platforms for a luncheon in Los Angeles, and at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, she matched a custom Armani Privé gown with Giuseppe Zanotti’s Sylvy satin platforms. Last December, she moved through New York in croc-embossed Schutz Maryana knee-high boots after a sequence of white and cognac leather pairs during her press tour.
More recently, Hudson has shifted to slimmer silhouettes: corded stiletto sandals with a Chloé pre-fall 2026 look at the Film Independent Spirit Awards and runway-look two-tone slingbacks from Lanvin pre-fall 2026 at the Oscars nominees luncheon. The BAFTA party platforms brought back the higher base while keeping her in the strappy, toe-forward category that has run through those appearances.
Alevì Milano, founded in 2018 by Valentina Micchetti and Perla Alessandri, produces its shoes in Italy and identifies each pair with a pearl set into the sole — a signature that has helped the brand gain a celebrity following, including Meagan Good and Eva Longoria.
The nominees’ party added another stop to Hudson’s circuit for “Song Sung Blue,” which has already brought her a BAFTA leading actress nomination plus season honors from the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, the Palm Springs International Film Festival and the ICG Publicists Awards.
