Beyoncé Knowles-Carter Embraces Western Glam in Hand-beaded Jean Pierre Khoury Boots on ‘Cowboy Carter’ Tour

The couture look featured more than 30,000 crushed beads and Swarovski crystals.

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter added a new dimension to her “Cowboy Carter” tour shoe wardrobe in Atlanta, performing on Sunday night in an all-red custom ensemble by Lebanese couture designer Jean Pierre Khoury. The look centered around a pair of crystal-covered thigh-high boots — one of the most sculptural and detailed footwear moments of the tour to date.

The custom boots were made from a deep crimson base and fully hand-beaded in crushed red stones and tonal crystals, forming a textural design that mirrored the embellishments of the dress. Cut with a wide flare at the knee and a high structured front panel, the boots extended mid-thigh, echoing a cowboy-style silhouette while forgoing any literal motifs.

A bold, squared block heel and sharply angled toe gave the boots architectural weight under the stage lights. The sock-like fit through the calf and the seamless extension into the high vamp helped anchor the look visually while enhancing movement onstage.

Styled by Shiona Turini, Tara Greville and Hanna Berridge, the full outfit continued the theme of maximal western-glam. The red minidress featured a sharply contoured cone-bra bodice — a signature Khoury silhouette — hand-beaded with more than 30,000 crushed beads and Swarovski crystals. Rivoli-cut Swarovski stones were used to frame the corset lines, while crystal fringe at the hips added high-shine motion as Knowles-Carter moved across the stage.

This isn’t the first time the singer has opted for a red boot moment on tour. Just last month in Houston, she wore a pair of poppy red lace mid-calf booties by Alexander McQueen, featuring a sheer floral shaft and sculpted heel. But the Atlanta boots from Khoury are a shift in both scale and density — a return to the heavily embellished cowboy boots that defined earlier tour stops in Los Angeles and Paris, where she wore custom footwear by Santoni and Thom Solo.

Jean Pierre Khoury is best known for intricately beaded couture silhouettes with a futuristic edge, and Beyoncé’s look aligns with that DNA while leaning into her country era’s theatricality. The designer’s work often includes corsetry and sculpted embellishment, both of which are on full display in this head-to-toe moment.

The “Cowboy Carter” tour continues this week with one more show in Atlanta before heading to Las Vegas for its final stops at the end of the month.
