Ariana Grande is ushering in the second era of her “Wicked” press dressing, as the sequel “Wicked: For Good” is slated for release on Nov. 21. Grande has made Louboutin shoes a key element of her press tour looks so far, and she’s shown love for the luxury brand’s ballet-inspired Cassia line on multiple occasions amid her travels.
Grande has notably made some departures from her primarily pink, white and pastel wardrobe pieces in recent days, going more Elphaba than Glinda with certain looks. On Monday, she not only wore a black one-shoulder 1952 gown by Gilbert Adrian for the London premiere, but she also stepped out in a black 1950s couture dress, which she complemented with Cassia Nodo Alta pumps from Christian Louboutin. It’s a platform version of the ballet-inspired Cassia Nodo pump, a stiletto style which features a ruched toe box reminiscent of a pointe shoe. The ballet aesthetic is emphasized by a little bow adornment on the vamp. The shoes were an apt complement to Grande’s dress which featured white floral appliqués and a sheer shoulder wrap.
This isn’t the first time Grande has worn a Cassia style in recent days — when the “Wicked” crew stopped in Paris, she had on a custom pink version of the Cassia Lace Up with her spring 1998 Givenchy by Alexander McQueen gown, a floor-sweeping garment with ethereal pastel hues. Grande’s affection for the Cassia look goes further back — last year in December 2024, the musician and actress stepped out in black Cassia Lace Up pumps, but not the platform version.
