Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo made their grand joint arrival to the London premiere of “Wicked: For Good” on Monday in looks by Prada and vintage Gilbert Adrian.
The two Oscar-nominated actress’ hit high notes in their own interpretations of the dark glamour trend, styling pieces evocative of their film’s theatricality and heightened drama. Grande, who was styled by image architect Law Roach, wore a voluminous Gilbert Adrian gown circa 1952 for her attire.
The dress featured an asymmetric neckline with one shoulder, a fitted bodice and a billowing tiered skirt. All over the black fabric of the dress were sequined elements, adding a sparkle to her gown. Adrian is most famous for his work as the costume designer for “The Wizard of Oz,” adding even greater significance and emotional weight to Grande’s London premiere look.

An ambassador for Swarovski, Grande wore a statement necklace from the Austrian label. Makeup for Grande was provided by Michael Anthony, with hairstyling by Alyx Liu, who coiffed the singer’s hair in a tight chignon with wisps of hair to frame her face. Erivo followed suit with the dark glamour aura.
The actress wore a bold look by Prada, featuring fabric contrast, a belted waist and off-the-shoulder sleeves. Two contrasting materials featured throughout the construction of the dress: a soft, smooth satin-like material and PVC-like band of fabric on the skirt, straps and jacket.
The Tony Award-winning performer accessorized with jewelry by Roberto Coin. Erivo’s nails, with design and artistry by Shea Osei, brought a vibrant pop of color to the look, which was curated by stylist Jason Bolden. Makeup artistry was by Joanna Simkin, who use Prada Beauty products.
“Wicked: For Good” is the sequel to the 2024 Oscar-winning film “Wicked,” based on the Tony Award-winning musical. The second film follows the complicated relationship between Elpha, the Wicked Witch of the West, played by Erivo, and Glinda, the Good Witch of the North, played by Grande, as the untold events of “The Wizard of Oz” begin to unfold. The film hits theaters Nov. 21.
