NEW YORK — Earthly delights will be on display at next week’s Los Angeles International Textile Show, where designers are offering up an array of neutral-colored and abstract-patterned fabrics for spring 2006. Many of the moodier looks are inspired by Africa, displayed on a brown base with burnt orange, yellow and blue accents. Woven patterns are often abstract, while prints include boho-inspired florals — many with metallic stripes. Lace makes an appearance, as well, with one version embroidered with an iconic symbol of nature: the eagle.
