What gets the stylish set going for fall? WWD asked a slew of designers and the just-plain fashionable for their everyday autumn essentials.
Isaac Mizrahi
DayGlo dust bag from my fall collection; an Hermès agenda, because BlackBerrys are only so good; Coach collar and leash for my boyfriend’s dog, Azzedine; the great new Williams-Sonoma cookbook;
Liz Claiborne tartan suit [for women].
Helen Lee Schifter
L.A.M.B. Barcode clutch; Frye Engineer boots in black; dinner and a chilled bottle of Condrieu at Minetta Tavern.
Alexander Wang
For girls, shoulder pads — they give an automatic attitude; a black turtleneck and little biker shorts. For me, Hanes five-pack of T-shirts. The fabric is great. If you wash them enough you can experiment.
