BABY STEPS: Fresh off the launch of her new fashion line for babies, N+V Baby, Spanish model Nieves Alvarez said her children’s brand N+V, which she introduced three years ago, was gaining recognition, “growing slowly, but very well.”
“We just opened a lot of shops in El Corte Inglés,” she said.
Alvarez was excited to see her performance in Stéphane Rolland’s short film, which the designer swapped for a couture show this season and screened in Paris on Tuesday. Alvarez’s line, now for 0 to 12 year olds, is fully designed by the model.
“It’s hard for people to believe it, because usually when somebody famous collaborates with a brand they [give] their name and don’t do anything. But I wake up every morning and go to work; I learned from the big ones,” said Alvarez, referring to the houses for which she had modeled, such as Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior and Giorgio Armani.
