LOS ANGELES — Nominations and honorees have been announced for the second annual L.A. Fashion Awards.
The awards gala, which is expected to draw more than 1,000 guests, will be Oct. 20 at the Orpheum Theater here.
The nominees are:
Moss Adams Fashion Innovator Award: Grey Ant (Grant Krajecki, designer), Juan Carlos Obando, Rozae Nichols and Society for Rational Dress (Corinne Grassini, designer).
Marketing Excellence Award: Collection BeBe, Joe’s Jeans, Kitson, L.A. Eyeworks and Quiksilver.
Fashion Retailer Award: American Rag Cie, vintage stores Decades and Decades Two, Kitson and Satine.
Gen Art, the Los Angeles-based fashion collective, will receive the honorary Inspiration Award. Bridal designer Monique Lhuillier will get the Wells Fargo Century Fashion Achievement Award. Stylist and costume designer Arianne Phillips will receive the Fashion Communication Award and teen retailer Charlotte Russe will collect the Nasdaq California Apparel Stock of the Year Award.
Nominees and honorees were selected by a 33-member nominating committee comprising West Coast fashion insiders and journalists.
