NEW YORK — Joe Scirocco has resigned as group chief financial officer of Tommy Hilfiger Corp. and chief operating officer of Tommy Hilfiger USA.
Scirocco joined Hilfiger in 1997 as senior vice president and treasurer of Tommy Hilfiger Corp., and cfo of Tommy Hilfiger USA, at the time the company’s largest subsidiary. Earlier, Scirocco had been a partner at Price Waterhouse, where he provided audit and advisory services for consumer product and apparel firms, including Hilfiger.
Scirocco will leave at the end of next month, a Hilfiger spokeswoman said.
After Apax Partners acquired Hilfiger last May, Scirocco was given responsibilities as group cfo in the reorganization, as well as chief operating officer of Tommy Hilfiger USA.
The job of group cfo will be taken over by Ludo Onnink, who also continues as chief operating officer of Tommy Hilfiger Corp. The post of chief operating officer of Hilfiger USA won’t be filled, but those executives who reported to Scirocco will now report directly to Fred Gehring, chief executive officer of Tommy Hilfiger Corp.
