Splendid has signed a licensing agreement with Coconut Grove Intimates to design, produce and distribute innerwear collections for women and girls bearing the Splendid and Splendid Girl names.
Splendid is a contemporary lifestyle brand that was created in 2002 and now is owned by VF Corp.
Both collections are slated for spring 2013 and will be unveiled at the New York innerwear market in May at the Coconut Grove showroom.
Jonathan Saven, president of Splendid, said the intimates license will expand apparel offerings with an “essential first layer.”
“This represents another step Splendid is taking toward building a lifestyle assortment with a full range of product categories,” said Saven.
He added that the company had previously tested a small collection of intimates which turned out to be successful.
