On Saturday night, many of the same stars from the afternoon’s Entertainment Weekly fete realigned at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association & InStyle’s annual TIFF celebration held at The Windsor Arms Hotel. Presented by MaxMara, the soiree also attracted Naomi Watts, Dakota Johnson and Benicio Del Toro. Naturally, plenty of attendees donned outfits by the Italian fashion house. “When I got [into town], Max Mara took care of me,” said Susan Sarandon, who was in Toronto promoting “About Ray” with Watts and Elle Fanning. “I think they were very generous with a lot of people.” Though the actress admitted, “I’ve never gotten into [fashion]. I don’t really have the time.”
Fresh from the premiere of their film “The Danish Girl,” Eddie Redmayne and Alicia Vikander both made appearances. “We’re alive at this point in the evening, so that’s good,” said Redmayne. Of everyone’s response to the film, he said, “It’s been amazing.”

“Everyone’s been so lovely here,” added Vikander. “All the fans were waiting today when we came for the film. It was so, so heartwarming.”
For Sarah Silverman, her time at TIFF had only just begun. “I’ve got to get up at 6 a.m. and I’m a huge sleep pussy,” said the “I Smile Back” star, who arrived from the airport just an hour earlier. “I can’t spend too much time out tonight. Once I get inside, I may mingle a little, but then I’m going to go home.”
The starriest of VIPs hung out in a private area while other industry insiders mingled by the buffet. The party was still going strong well past midnight, though Redmayne decided to call it a night a tad earlier. Ever the gentleman, he led his wife out by the hand while Sam Smith’s “Stay with Me” played.
The loud music likely posed a problem for Ben Foster, who seemed surprised by the commotion. “I’m staying at the hotel,” he said, though he politely posed for photos on the step and repeat before heading straight to his room.
