For Stuart Vevers’ 10th anniversary at the helm of Coach, the brand knew a regular fashion show just wouldn’t do. The fashion portion of the evening on Thursday night took place inside the New York Public Library in front of a crowd of celebrity guests that included Jennifer Lopez, Camila Mendes, Lil Nas X, Chase Stokes, Lola Tung, Dove Cameron, India Amarteifio, Benito Skinner and more.
Immediately following the show, guests were ushered further into the library, first for cocktails on the entrance level before heading upstairs to the Edna Barnes Salomon Room for a seated dinner. While front row VIPs like Lopez and Stokes made quick exits post-final bow, the rest of the group joined in for the party, relishing in the dramatic NYPL staircase as a perfect photo-op backdrop before even stepping foot into the dinner.
While before the show Stokes had deemed the night “too hot to wear anything else” in regards to his white tank, Mendes posed at dinner bravely in a Coach leather trench while Lil Nas X wore a white matching jacket and pant set, complete with a pair of the heavy moto boots seen on the runway. He declined to chat on the record ahead of dinner, as he popped a piece of corn into his mouth from the laid out salad course.

As guests settled in and chatted, flutes of Champagne were poured ahead of a toast for Vevers’ decade both at Coach and in New York.
“Just thinking about New York stories about this place…makes me feel lucky to share Coach’s and my own New York narrative within these hallowed walls,” Vevers told the room. “Coach is the reason I came to New York and is the constant setting for my New York story since I joined 10 years ago. New York has of course changed immeasurably, as has Coach’s place in the fashion world. Now I’m a husband and a father.
“New York is where I created my family and I want to thank my husband and children,” he said, choking up, to a room full of applause.
