Anya Taylor-Joy kicked off the holiday season Wednesday night for Tiffany and Co., floating into the American jeweler’s flagship boutique, The Landmark, and bringing a special moment of holiday cheer by lighting a massive Bird on a Rock— a hallmark from the legacy of Jean Schlumberger— perched over Fifth Avenue.
“I think Tiffany is synonymous with New York, and New York, to me, is synonymous with Christmas, and so the combination of all three is perfect,” the actress and Tiffany brand ambassador said just before pulling the switch to light up the evening.

Taylor-Joy’s own production company Lady Killer Productions was announced last year, increasing her workload and creative flow. “I’m super fortunate to work a lot in something that I love, and so I always find that I’m kind of working right up until Christmas,” she said of the season. “And what I’ve loved throughout all of my travels is just when they turn on the lights. That’s really the signifier for me. So, seeing the Christmas lights in Athens and in Rome and in all of these different places, it just is a really unifying experience to know that the whole world is being lit up at the same time.”
Along with lighting duties the actress fronts Tiffany’s 2025 holiday campaign, Love Is a Gift, and for her, the holidays are about time spent with loved ones. “Watching movies is my favorite thing to do with my family, it’s just, it’s so nice to be cozy and be with the ones that you love.”
Jewelry serves a purpose, she candidly shared. “It’s my way of signifying when I become myself again,” she said. “I take it away for when I’m working, and then when the job is finished, I put on my jewelry again.”
In her day to day, Taylor-Joy wears a men’s style Tiffany signet ring with her initials — but for the holiday event she went full out, with a dazzling mix of diamond Bird on the Rock pieces, whimsically on theme against her white spliced-together lace paneled Dilara Findikoglu dress.
Guests including Chase Sui Wonders, Sam Nivola, Sarah Catherine Hook, Anna Weyant, Imaan Hammam, Tylynn Nguyen, Georgia Fowler, Aimee Song, Kelsey Merritt and more sipped on Champagne and cocktails with passed hors d’oeuvres up above the city on the seventh floor of the flagship, which was fully reimagined for the holidays with stacks of blue boxes, trees capped in snow and Tiffany ornaments, of course.
“We’re delighted tonight to celebrate the start of this holiday season,” Matthieu Garnier, president and chief executive officer, North America told the crowd. “Being in New York at this time of the year always feels very magical and whimsical, from the tree at the Rockefeller Center to the lights on Fifth Avenue to the iconic snowflake that I’m sure you noticed tonight is Tiffany blue.”
The night was rounded out with a special performance by singer Audrey McGraw.
