This year’s Internet Retailer Conference and Exhibition features more than 200 speakers and 70 sessions, and is expected to draw 9,500 attendees at McCormick Place in Chicago, June 7 to 10.
The event’s speakers include: Jason Goldberger, president of target.com and Mobile Target Corp.; Greg Bowen, vice president of consumer services at Dell; Mark Friedman, president of e-commerce at Steve Madden; Christopher McCann, president of 1-800-Flowers.com, and Alexis Ohanian, cofounder and executive chairman of Reddit.com.
Aside from an exhibition hall, the event has several sessions that includes tracked titled “Strategies for Top Executives” and “Retail Chains” as well as “Global E-retailing” and “Social Commerce.” Event organizers said the speakers “will share their expertise and company stories, as well as their path to becoming leaders in the e-commerce field.”
Goldberger kicks off the event with a keynote speech that will discuss the “Retail Revolution: How Digital is Transforming Target and Fueling the Future of Shopping.”

“Goldberger will share lessons learned along the retailer’s digital transformation journey and where he sees e-commerce heading,” event organizers said. “With channel-less shopping and personalization becoming the new norm, Goldberger will also explore how Target is creating a future where digital increasingly distinguishes best-in-class customer experiences — for shoppers both online and in stores.”

• Charlie Cole, chief digital officer for Tumi on rethinking social media tactics;
• Tiffany Cooley, vice president of marketing at Bon-Ton Stores Inc. on omnichannel retailing;
• Juliette Dallas-Feeney, senior social media manager at Birchbox on the importance of Snapchat;
• Jeff Faye, digital strategist at Sears Holdings Corp. on using video to increase conversions; and
• Michael Molitor, senior vice president of e-commerce at Kohl’s Corp. on native apps.
