PARIS — Première Vision SA said Monday it has completed its acquisition of the ModAmont trade show from Tarsus France SAS, taking full ownership of the salon.
In 2007, Première Vision took a 49 percent stake in ModAmont, which specializes in fashion accessories and components.
A purchase option for the transaction had been granted in early October, but had to pass through various legal stages before being approved, including obtaining the approval of the shareholders of Tarsus’ parent company, Dublin-based Tarsus Group plc, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
ModAmont shows as part of the Première Vision Pluriel group of trade shows held in September and February in the Paris Nord Villepinte venue.
Première Vision, which organizes 22 trade shows each year in France, Belgium, Brazil, China, Russia and the U.S., specializes in salons geared to materials and services for the fashion and home industries. The company already owns the Première Vision, Indigo and Expofil salons, geared respectively to apparel fabrics, designs and yarns and fibers.
