R. Shawn Neville has joined footwear firm Aerosoles as its new chief executive officer.
Neville takes over the post from interim ceo Caryn Lerner, the operating partner of Palladin Consumer Retail Partners. Palladin is a private equity firm that acquired Aerosoles in June 2014.
Before joining Aerosoles, Neville was president of Avery Dennison Corp.’s retail branding and information solutions division. He also has extensive experience in the footwear industry, holding senior positions at Stride Rite, Footstar and Footaction USA.
“Shawn is a results-oriented leader with the strategic expertise and management skills to take Aerosoles to the next level,” Lerner said.

Aerosoles is based in Edison, N.J. It is a specialty chain known for its proprietary comfort technologies. The acquisition in 2014 by Palladin includes the core Aerosoles brand, A2, Aerology and What’s Next. Founded in 1987, Aerosoles is sold in major retailers, its own online Web site and at retail and outlet locations.
Palladin was founded in 1998. Current and former portfolio companies include Nic + Zoe, J. McLaughlin, Andrew Marc and Harrys of London. Palladin’s ceo Mark Schwartz and other senior executive team members have previously held positions at companies such as Arnotts in Ireland, Gordon Brothers, Nine West, Holt Renfrew and Escada.
