LONDON — Philippe Warnery has exited the Estée Lauder Cos. Inc. just months after being promoted to president of the U.K. and Ireland, the company’s third-largest market.
Warnery had been senior vice president and general manager of the region since 2017, and continued to report to Cedric Prouvé, group president of international, in his new role.
He had been with Lauder for 13 years and most recently was credited with helping the company position itself to withstand the fallout from the geopolitical and economic volatility due to Brexit, including establishing new retailer relationships and fueling the growth of the online business.
“Philippe’s entrepreneurial spirit and dynamic leadership are transforming the shopping experience for U.K. consumers through doubling-down on omnichannel experience, connecting e-commerce with freestanding stores, driving digital expansion and focusing on local relevance,” Prouvé said in January.
On Wednesday, a spokesperson for Lauder confirmed that Warnery was no longer with the company and said his successor would be named in due course. The company declined to comment on why Warnery left the company.
