PARIS — Cerruti has tapped Catherine Vautrin as chief executive officer, succeeding Florent Perrichon.
Cerruti said Vautrin would by charged with positioning the brand as a leading player in men’s wear and defining a global strategy to make it a top luxury label.
Cerruti, which has struggled for several years under a revolving door of designers, was purchased last December by Chinese men’s wear giant Trinity Ltd., a division of Li & Fung.
Vautrin recently had her own consulting practice in Italy, in addition to sitting on the board of e-tailer Yoox.
Previously, she worked at LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton — first at Louis Vuitton’s stores network and then as director of the men’s and women’s ready-to-wear division.
She was president and ceo of Emilio Pucci from 2000 to 2007.
