Rosenthal & Rosenthal named Peter Austin senior vice president and team leader, managing account executives at the factor who oversee the daily cash needs at client firms.
Austin, 34, will do analytical work on client balance sheets and credit issues such as inventory exposure.
Previously, Austin was a senior vice president and account executive at Wells Fargo’s Trade Capital division and before that a vice president and senior underwriter at CIT.
“We are very pleased to have Peter join our institution,” said J. Michael Stanley, managing director at Rosenthal & Rosenthal.
Despite all the dire headlines about the economy and debt troubles in Europe, Stanley said money is still flowing through fashion’s financing system.
“We have been very active in providing finances throughout the downturn,” Stanley said. “The sky is not falling. We’re business as usual. We’re lending money.”
