Police Seek Suspect in NorthPark Shooting

DALLAS – Authorities are searching for a gunman who shot and wounded a woman sitting in her car Friday night in a parking lot at NorthPark Center in Dallas in what appeared to be an attempted carjacking.

The unidentified victim was being treated at Baylor University Medical Center for a gunshot wound to the jaw.

“This tragic accident happened at the edge of the north parking lot…and the woman was able to drive to the center to get help,” said Christine Szalay, a spokeswoman for NorthPark Management Co.

The upscale mall has put up a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Another local company, Schepps Dairy, has added $10,000.
