As part of its plan to grow into a global lifestyle brand, Andrew Marc has expanded its senior management team.
In addition to hiring and promoting seven executives, the outerwear and accessories firm has expanded the size of its 570 Seventh Avenue showroom by 30 percent to 200,000 square feet and added new product categories, including handbags, men’s leather goods, ladies and men’s rainwear, and — debuting in fall 2007 — women’s footwear.
“We are developing a strong infrastructure comprising extremely talented, energetic and accomplished professionals,” said Charles M. Jayson, who joined the company as president and chief executive officer in April. “Together, we will propel the Andrew Marc business to its potential as a trend-right global lifestyle brand.”
Andrew Marc sells products under the Andrew Marc and MARC New York brand names and holds licenses with Levi Strauss & Co. marketing outerwear under Dockers, Levi’s Red Tab and Levi’s Premium brand names. The company’s investment partner, GB Merchant Partners, is a division of Gordon Brothers Group.
New posts at the firm include:
- Michaela Sexton as senior vice president and creative director of design. She previously served as design director for Reaction by Kenneth Cole.
- Celia Rao Visconti as senior vice president of marketing and communications. She comes from Tommy Hilfiger, where she held a similar post for nine years.
- Franci Carter as vice president of production. She hails from Jones Apparel Group, where she oversaw 16 sportswear divisions for nine years.
- Jodi Rose as vice president of accessories. Previously, as sales director for Cole Haan, she was responsible for the growth of the handbag division.
Andrew Marc also promoted three executives to new or expanded roles:
- Kathy Glenn to executive vice president of sales. Glenn joined Andrew Marc in July 2005 and served most recently as senior vice president of ladies’ sales.
- Robert Nelson to senior vice president of men’s sales from vice president of men’s sales.
- Camille Williams to vice president of merchandise planning from director of merchandise planning.
