Josie Maran is expanding its body care portfolio with the launch of Hydrating Argan Body Wash.
Available online Feb. 10 at josiemaran.com and at Sephora on Feb. 13, the product builds on the brand’s momentum following its 2024 relaunch at the retailer with body butters and scrubs.
Formulated with what the brand calls “coconut cleansing bubbles” — coconut-derived surfactants — along with amino acids and its signature organic argan oil, the Hydrating Argan Body Wash is clinically proven to hydrate skin for up to 24 hours, Maran said.
The launch is projected to generate $10 million in sales in 2026, according to industry sources. It follows a period of accelerated growth for Josie Maran, which has seen triple-digit growth since its rebrand, according to the company. In 2025, the brand also earned Certified B Corporation status, formalizing its long-standing commitments to sustainability and clean formulations.
“So many body washes are purely functional,” said Maran, the California-based model and actress who founded the brand in 2007. “I really wanted to make it skin care for the body…I grew up with dry skin and cleansers, body washes, all that is so incredibly dry to me. So, I really wanted to make it super hydrating.”
The body wash is offered in three mood-driven scents: Topless Tangerine, Vanilla Vibezzz and Golden Hour. They’re packaged in an 8.45-oz bottle for $22, along with a 2-oz travel size for $9 and 20-oz refills for $39. The fragrances were developed in collaboration with Jérôme Epinette of Robertet.
The campaign introduces 25-year-old actress Rain Spencer as a Josie Maran brand partner, featured in an upcoming short film as part of the body wash launch. “It was a soul match,” Maran said of the partnership. “She’s real, she’s grounded, she’s strong and vulnerable at the same time.”
As clean beauty continues to become mainstream, Maran — a pioneer in the space — sees the future in emotional connection.
“Clean has become kind of hygiene,” she said. “For me, it’s about what I’m calling soulful beauty. It’s about emotional beauty. It’s about feeling good in your skin.”
