High-end Italian watchmaker Officine Panerai has expanded its retail footprint with the opening of two Florida boutiques in the Bal Harbour Shops in Bal Harbour and on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach. The company also operates units in New York City, Beverly Hills and Boca Raton, Fla.
The boutiques showcase a simple, classic Italian design, patterned after the company’s recently opened boutique on the via Montenapoleone in Milan. Many of the shapes and materials used in the stores play homage to the company’s longstanding association with the Italian Navy. For example, simple lines alternate with wave-like structures, and all materials are derived from glass, white marble, steel and specially-treated teak, most of which were imported from Italy.
The shops offer a selection of limited edition watches and bring the number of Officine Panerai stores worldwide to 25, a total that is expected to double by the end of next year.
