PARIS — Van Cleef & Arpels is set to introduce a pedagogical element to Place Vendôme, with a new jewelry school set to open at its headquarters there in February.
L’École Van Cleef & Arpels, presided over by fine jewelry specialist Marie Vallanet-Delhom, who has worked for Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels in a pedagogic capacity, will offer a nontechnical curriculum billed as an initiation into the art of jewelry making.
The course is to be animated by a range of professionals from the jewelry domain, such as art historians and gemologists. Certain modules will focus specifically on the history and know-how of the house, offering visits to Van Cleef’s ateliers.
Open to an international public, enrolment will open from Nov. 15. Classes are in English or French.
