Modo Eyewear has tapped Pierre Fay as its chief executive officer of its North America branch.
Fay, as former president of e-commerce and global business at Essilor, will be responsible for leading Modo’s expansion in the U.S. and Canada.
Alessandro Lanaro, Modo’s founder, will assume the role of global ceo, and will focus on developing the firm’s presence in Europe and Asia, in addition to developing its brand portfolio and merchandise.

Fay, a 25-year veteran of the optical industry, has held top management spots at prominent eyewear firms such as Luxottica Group. At Luxottica, he headed the North America wholesale division from 2005 to 2010 and concentrated on sales, marketing and distribution strategies for the Italian company’s extensive brand portfolio.
