Wrangler is cooking up a new collaboration.
On Thursday, the Kontoor Brands-owned brand unveiled a collection with Whataburger, the Texan burger chain since 1950.
Wrangler describes the collaboration as a “quintessential Texas pairing, uniting two iconic brands that have shaped the Lone Star State for over 70 years.”
“The key to a successful collaboration lies in pairing brands with an authentic connection yet colliding them in a way that births something new and unexpected,” said John Meagher, VP of global brand marketing, Wrangler. “Wrangler x Whataburger nails it with a Texas-sized combo of fresh designs merging Wrangler’s classic American style, Whataburger’s timeless appeal and the bold iconography of both brands. With a shared connection to the heart of Texas culture we’re serving up a collection that feels just right for fans of both brands.”
Featuring branded patches, bold stripes and signature taglines, the men’s and women’s collection combines Wrangler’s cowboy denim spirit with Whataburger’s instantly recognizable orange-and-white color palette. The brands share a signature “W” logo, which is emphasized throughout the collection.
The line spans Trucker jackets, hoodies, graphic tees, denim and hats. Standout styles include a men’s Western shirt with co-branded embroidery and a Trucker jacket and denim shirt laser printed with Whataburger’s “Flying W” logo. The women’s High Rise Flare Stripe Pant feature bold white and orange stripes, plucked from Whataburger’s retro restaurant designs. A shrunken vest is decorated with retro-inspired patches.
“It’s the perfect fusion of what makes both Wrangler and Whataburger Texas icons—timeless, flavorful and full of character,” Meagher said.
The Wrangler x Whataburger collection retails for $34.99-$89.99. It is available on Wrangler’s website and Whataburger’s online store, Whatastore.com. The collection will also be sold at some Western retailers.
