Wrangler’s partnership with Lainey Wilson rolls on.
On Thursday, the Kontoor Brands-owned brand released its second women’s collection co-designed by the ACM 2024 Entertainer of the Year.
The latest installment continues to celebrate individuality by marrying Western staples with elements of rock ‘n’ roll and bohemian flair.
“The highly anticipated Spring/Summer 2025 product drop blends Wrangler’s signature Western heritage with Lainey’s trademark style, showcasing the brand’s timeless silhouettes like bootcuts, flares and bell bottoms: designs that have become synonymous with both Wrangler and Lainey’s retro-inspired flair,” said Holly Wheeler, vice president of global marketing, Wrangler and Lee. “This curated edit offers something for everyone, capturing the essence of Lainey’s signature style while staying true to Wrangler’s legacy.”
Denim highlights include a floral print jumpsuit, striped bell bottoms, and studded flare jeans. Though bootcut jeans drew attention earlier this year when Kendrick Lamar wore a pair for his Super Bowl Halftime performance, the fit has been a mainstay in Wrangler’s partnership with Wilson, executed in styles that feel both modern and nostalgic.
“These wide-leg and flare styles have become festival wardrobe staples and are ideal for the cowgirl looking to incorporate timeless Western elements into her festival look or everyday wear,” said Vivian Rivetti, vice president of global design, Wrangler and Lee.
For those who aren’t ready to commit to a head-to-toe cowgirl look, Rivetti said the collection offers easy-to-mix-and-match pieces that seamlessly integrate with existing wardrobe essentials, making it a go-to for the season. Laser prints, studs and denim patchwork decorate other denim pieces. Tops span embellished Western shirts and gauzy button-downs to oversized vintage-inspired graphic tees feature the slogans “Heck Yeah” and “Hang Tight”
The drop follows the Fall/Winter 2024 Wrangler x Lainey Wilson collection which launched last September and became Wrangler’s most successful global collaboration to date. Several pieces from the first collection sold out immediately, including the Iconic Lainey Coat, a vintage-inspired oversized denim jacket with sherpa lining. Other strong performers were the patchwork vest and bell bottoms, indicating a demand for premium denim designs that merge tradition with modern sophistication, Wheeler said.
She added that notably, eight of the top 10 best-selling styles were Wrangler’s new Boot Hugger style and a wide selection of bell bottoms, “reflecting a clear preference for these flattering, retro-inspired silhouettes.”
Wilson stars in the Spring/Summer 2024 campaign. Last week on Instagram, she teased a photo from the shoot, garnering 170,000 likes.
“Lainey’s style has consistently proven that these silhouettes are timeless, cementing her as the perfect partner for Wrangler. This forward-thinking approach has made these pieces highly sought after in the industry, attracting consumers with fresh, fashion-forward takes on cowgirl couture,” Rivetti said.
