Prosperity’s Stella Blu Division Scales NTX’s Printing Technology

Stella Blu, the product division of Prosperity Textiles that makes indigo yarn dyed fabrics, is modernizing its textile coloration process.

The mill announced it will install textile coloration company NTX’s Cooltrans technology with panel printing at its new manufacturing facility in China

Launched in 2020, NTX Cooltrans is a waterless textile coloration system that can color almost any textile material without heat and up to a 90 percent reduction in water usage. It achieves precise color without compromising the fabric’s texture or functional performance. The cost-neutral technology is compatible with natural, man-made, or synthetic fibers (except for poly propylene) including high power-stretch materials.

Companies brought their sustainable dye solutions to ITMA in Milan this month. Sedo Engineering showcased SmartIndigo, a dyeing process that uses electricity instead of toxic chemicals to dissolve indigo dyes. Turkey’s Agteks presented Shade Box, an online quality control system specifically designed to detect color variation that occurs during the production of dyed denim yarns. The system enables manufacturers to monitor the color quality of their denim yarns accurately and efficiently throughout the production process.
