The second drop of Levi’s premium Blue Tab Collection showcases elevated outerwear, retro-inspired silhouettes, and nautical influences throughout.
Levi’s says the collection “celebrates Japanese denim in its purest form through covetable fits and impeccable construction that honors time-honored traditions while embracing decidedly modern details.”
Continuing its focus on blending traditional workwear with contemporary refinement, the new collection introduces the men’s Naval Sack Coat, a piece that takes inspiration from functional mariner pieces from the ’40s with quilted lining and donut buttons, and the Type I Jacket, a modernized interpretation of the staple silhouette featuring tailored sleeves and slightly cropped fit.
Other styles are more laid back. The men’s Marker Loose jean offers a roomy, comfortable fit; the Relaxed Button-Down Shirts are made with Japanese denim. Additional tops include the Work Shirt and Relaxed Tee, each representing elevated Americana and construction.
Nautical-inspired designs bring a retro aesthetic to the collection. Levi’s describes the men’s Naval Flare as a classic sailor pant “artfully reimagined” with denim from Kaihara. The women’s Mariner Jean pays homage to naval flares from the ’30s and features a lace-up cinched back. A matching Mariner Peacoat—a cropped version of a classic peacoat—has a removable satin vest lining that can be worn on its own.
Other key styles for women include the Shank Trucker, a white jean jacket with functional shank button details along the arms, and the Seamed Skirt, which has a curved front and dramatic back shapes with detailed seaming.
Levi’s introduced the Blue Tab Collection in January as a premium tiered line inspired by the past. The collection focuses on refined workwear and wardrobe staples. Japanese denim is emphasized throughout the collection.
Levi’s partnered with renowned photographer Juergen Teller for the collection’s campaign set in a traditional Japanese sento, or bath house. The brand says the photography “reflects the artistry that gives Japanese denim its unique character and exceptional quality.”
The Blue Tab Collection is available now at select Levi’s stores and on the brand’s website.
