The “weird and wonderful underground” world of the ’90s punk scene inspired Ksubi’s pre-Spring 2024 collection.
Called “Wonderland,” the Australian denim streetwear label says the styles “take cues from Ksubi’s rebellious upbringing, with heavy distressing, metal hardware and black waxed denim oozing grunge energy.”
The women’s assortment updates core denim styles and washes. Relaxed tapered jeans, cutoff shorts and a reversible jacket are executed in a snowy light wash. A bustier top bearing an embossed Ksubi logo coordinates with mid-rise bootcut jeans and a denim trench in the brand’s mid-blue Authentik wash. Pinstripes refresh washed black low-rise jeans, and a maxi skirt is made with lightweight washed black denim. A fitted blazer dress with a back cutout comes in black denim.
“Crystal embellished denim and black wax add texture and rebellious spirit to classic denim styles,” the brand states.
For men, Ksubi offers slim tapered jeans treated with acid wash, screen prints and deconstruction and trio of styles in washed earth tones. A skinny jean boasts rip and repair details and embroidery that nods to the ’90s punk aesthetic.
Prints inspired by live music flyers and zines are used throughout the collection. A knitwear collection, spanning shorts, a cardigan and a short-sleeve resort shirt, features repeat prints of Ksubi’s signature ‘Royalty, Heroism and The Streets’ artwork.
Ksubi recently expanded into underwear. Designed to be a statement part of an outfit, the unisex boxer briefs are available in black, white and grey. The cotton briefs have a Ksubi-branded elastic waistband and signature 4×4 and T-box details.
The briefs are sold for $35 apiece or as a pack of three for $90.
