DL1961 Bows New Tencel Fabrics in Resort Collection

DL1961 continues explore innovative fabrics.

The New York City-based brand’s Resort 2025 collection debuts Highluxe, a new fabrication that delivers vintage-looking denim with an ultra-soft feel.

The fabric contains 83 percent cotton and 17 percent Tencel lyocell, constructed to give denim the rigid look of a 100 percent cotton jean but with the comfort and soft handle of Tencel. The brand said the fabric “represents the perfect union of fabric technology, modern sustainability, and timeless style.”

Highluxe is available in DL1961’s bestselling Hepburn wide-leg jean. A mid-to-dark indigo wash and deep cuff enhances the jean’s vintage-inspired aesthetic.

DL1961 also launches its lightest fabrication yet, the DL Aura. The 63 percent cotton and 31 percent Tencel blend is available in the Montauk, a boxy button-down shirt with a raw hem, and the Isabel, a mid-rise jean with a relaxed fit. The lightweight fabric gives the wide-leg silhouette a soft drape.

The new fabrics are part of a resort line that seamlessly transitions from winter to warmer weather.

Other denim highlights include the Hepburn and Jodie Trucker jacket updated with hand-beaded floral embellishments and an assortment of tops, dresses and bottom for head-to-toe denim looks. A cropped denim vest pairs with a knee length denim skirt. An almond version of the Montauk jacket coordinates with the Utility mini skirt. A sleeveless denim dress borrows details from classic trench coats.

The collection also features stretchy pinstripe fabrication made with cotton/Viscose blend, used across wide-leg trousers, a bustier top and mini dress.
