Loose fits, laid-back shorts and designer sets are all part of the celebrity denim wardrobe this summer.
Celebrities chose clean washes, classic fits and comfort over complicated designs. Jennifer Lopez, Camila Cabello and Chrissy Teigen were among the famous names to style slouchy or wide-leg jeans with basic black tops. Justin and Hailey Bieber matched in loose-fitting light wash jeans and oversize black leather jackets.
Though the jeans were simple in design, subtle details like Rooney Mara’s jeans with a front yoke added interest. Oprah and Irina Shayk wore head-to-toe dark indigo outfits, each putting their own spin on the staple fabric.

Though the deconstructed denim trend has died down, celebrities pulled out statement-making pieces on the occasion. Nelly Furtado was seen wearing trompe l’oeil denim print trousers with cutouts and ties. Kim Kardashian sported layered Levi’s jeans to a NBA game. Alicia Keys wore a high-waisted overalls with stacked legs with a cropped jean jacket.
