A new collection takes the soft and fluid denim trend into a new tier of luxury.
This spring, premium silk apparel and accessories brand Anaphe is launching ReWritten, a collection that explores denim “through the lens of silk, femininity, and modern ease.”
The Hong Kong-based brand founded by Katy Chambers sourced the pure silk fabric from Vietnam and achieved the denim print in Suzhou, China using non-toxic OEKO-TEX dyes. Fabrics weight 16 momme, which Chambers said balances lightweight comfort with durability.

The collection draws inspiration from John Galliano’s 2000 Dior collection, which explored the intersection of silk prints and denim. It also aligns with the growing trend for trompe-l’œil denim prints.
“Anaphe’s signature fabric is silk, we wanted to make silk wearable daily. Inspired by the love of denim,” Chambers told SJ Denim. “We embarked on this collection with a clear vision: to capture the timeless look of denim while ensuring comfort of silk. We specifically sought to create a collection that would authentically resemble denim, allowing for both style and comfort without the heavy restrictive stiffness of traditional denim.”
The ReWritten collection includes trousers with four functional pockets, a button-up camisole, a halter top, a slip dress, shorts, miniskirt and short- and long-sleeve shirts. Prices range from $107 to $260.
Though previous collections have included denim-inspired colors, Chambers said this is the brand’s first venture into bringing the look of denim to life through a printed silk design. The light and dark wash prints were developed using photographs of vintage denim pieces then combined to create an illustration that could be printed onto silk. Intricate double contrast stitching gives the illusion of denim. Brass studs and buttons were sourced to add to the authenticity and appearance.
Chambers said the denim collection complements Anaphe’s core S/S ’26 collection of sandwashed mulberry silk separates and dresses in olive green, sand, white, black and navy for season.
“Our denim print silk provides a chic yet lightweight alternative to traditional denim, catering to our customers who value both aesthetic and comfort,” she said. “It fits perfectly into the wardrobes of those who seek versatile, trend-resistant pieces suitable for any season.”
