Puma
German sportswear company Puma has appointed Arthur Hoeld as CEO and chairman of the management board, effective July 1. Puma’s current CEO, Arne Freundt, is stepping down, effective April 11, following a mutual decision with the supervisory board for the 14-year-tenured executive to exit. Matthias Bäumer, vice president of Puma’s business unit, Teamsport, has been appointed chief commercial officer. In this new role, Baumer will oversee the company’s sales subsidiaries, global direct-to-consumer and go-to-market organizations.
Between now-July 1, the management board will consist of chief product officer Maria Valdes, chief financial officer Markus Neubrand and Baumer. As of July 1, Hoeld will join Puma’s management board.

Swiss running brand On announced co-CEO Marc Maurer has left the company. On will transition to a single-CEO structure, with co-CEO and chief financial executive Martin Hoffmann assuming the role of sole chief executive officer, effective July 1. Following 12 years in leadership, Maurer will stay in his role until June 30, to ensure a smooth transition and continue advising the board through March 2026.
On also announced the appointment of four senior hires. Scott Maguire was named chief innovation officer, Adib Sisani was named chief communications officer, and Craig Jones was named chief supply chain officer. Katarina Berg was named chief people officer, effective August 1.
Guess
Global lifestyle brand Guess announced that Alberto Toni, current group managing director and chief financial officer of Flos B&B Italia Group, has been appointed CFO of Guess. Toni will succeed interim CFO Dennis Secor, who will remain with the company as executive vice president through Sept. 12 to support the transition. Toni will be based in Lugano, Switzerland, and will lead Guess’s finance team globally.
Capri Holdings
Luxury group Capri Holdings Limited’s executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief operating officer, Thomas Edwards, is leaving the company to pursue another opportunity (detailed below). Rajal Mehta, CFO of Michael Kors, will assume the role of interim CFO for Capri. Edwards joined Michael Kors in 2008 and has held roles of increasing responsibility since, serving as the brand’s chief financial officer since last December. He will stay with the company until June 20.

Direct-to-consumer healthcare apparel brand Figs announced the appointment of Jerry Jao, former CEO of Retention Science, to its board of directors. Jao joins as an independent director and has also been appointed to serve as both chair of the board’s audit committee and as a member of the board’s compensation committee. Since May 2024, Mario Marte has served as interim chair of the board’s audit committee and will now serve as a member of the audit committee moving forward.

Macy’s
Department store chain Macy’s announced Thomas Edwards will join as chief operating officer and chief financial officer, effective June 22. Chief stores officer Barbie Cameron will report directly to chairman and CEO Tony Spring, also effective June 22. Bluemercury CEO Maly Bernstein will report to Bloomingdale’s CEO Olivier Bron, effective May 1. Adrian Mitchell is leaving the company and he will continue in his current capacity as COO and CFO through June 21.

Munich Fabric Start
International fabric trade show Munich Fabric Start announced a new management team, following former managing director Sebastian Klinder’s departure in mid-March. Peter Dumont and Florian Klinder have been appointed as new managing directors. As a marketing and sales expert, Dumont will further develop internationalization and digitization, among other tasks, and Klinder will use his many years of industry expertise and a close market connection to expand co-operations, among other tasks. Frank Junker will remain active as creative director and shareholder.

Retail technology solutions provider Jumpmind has appointed Lauren Cevallos to lead product strategy and customer success initiatives. Cevallos will lead Jumpmind’s efforts to align product strategy and innovation with customer requirements, strengthen customer relationships and anticipate market trends. She previously served as a former commerce technology analyst at Forrester.

Third-generation family business Reid Witlin Textiles announced that Jordan Yasgoor has been appointed as lead creative director for the company’s “Succession” textile collection.
