Shuffle Board: Everlane Names Fear of God Exec as CEO, Malbon Golf Taps Nike VP

San Francisco-based and sustainability-centric brand Everlane has named Alfred Chang as chief executive officer. The former Fear of God executive will lead Everlane through its next phase of business, the brand confirmed. While serving as CEO at Fear of God, he streamlined operations processes, implemented merchandising initiatives, led collaborations and curated marketing strategies. Before that, he spent 17 years at Pacsun in various roles, including co-CEO, president, chief brand officer and executive vice president of merchandising and design.

Footwear-focused firm Genesco announced the appointment of Cassandra “Sandra” Harris as senior vice president, finance and chief financial officer. She succeeds Thomas George, whose planned retirement begins Dec. 12. Reporting directly to CEO Mimi Vaughn, Harris will oversee Genesco’s accounting, financial planning and analysis, investor relations, treasury, procurement and tax functions. She joins with a background in financial leadership positions at companies such as VF Corp, where she drove global business and financial strategies across VF’s 50-plus brands.

Lifestyle brand Malbon Golf has named Aaron Heiser as chief executive officer. He will oversee the entire team and report to the board of directors. Previously, Heiser served as Nike’s global vice president of apparel, accessories and licensing, responsible for product creation and merchandising. Co-founders Stephen and Erica Malbon will remain active on the board of directors and as co-chief creative officers.

SMCP

French luxury holding company SMCP Group has named Ida Simonsen as president and chief executive officer for North America. She succeeds Paul Griffin, who is pursuing opportunities outside of the group. Simonsen joins after serving as Stella McCartney’s president of the Americas for 12-plus years, guiding the brand through changing shareholders and expanding its retail network. Before that, she held leadership positions at Marni.

Direct-to-consumer underwear brand MeUndies has named Elizabeth Dunn as senior vice president of sales. Dunn brings over 15 years of relevant experience, previously serving as senior vice president of sales for Calvin Klein intimates and, before that, held various roles at PVH Corp.

Belk

Regional department store chain Belk announced its new board of directors, led by chairman Steve Sadove, former chairman and CEO of Saks Incorporated. In addition to Sadove, the new appointees include Joel Bines, Bob Hull and Jon Zinman. Bines led the global retail practice at AlixPartners before founding a boutique advisory firm. Hull is the founder and CEO of advisory services firm Strategic Solutions. Zinman is the managing member of the private capital firm JZ Advisors.

Home-based fashion multi-level marketing (MLM) company Cabi announced the appointments of three key executives to its leadership team: Russ Bowers as chief financial officer, Addie Rintel as chief marketing officer and Meredith Tieszen as president of field. Bowers has over 30 years of relevant experience, most recently serving as Pacsun’s CFO. Rintel is also joining from Pacsun, with prior stints at the likes of Anthropologie and Lucky Brand. Tieszen has over 20 years of experience in the social selling channel space.

Nonprofit Fair Trade USA has named Dana Dufresne as chief growth officer. She joins with two decades of relevant experience and sales leadership within the consumer packaged goods sector. In this role, Dufresne will help scale the organization to meet its network’s needs, support farmers and producers worldwide, oversee the implementation of a growth strategy, foster expansion opportunities and bolster existing relationships.

The ZDHC Foundation

Amsterdam-based nonprofit and non-governmental organization, the ZDHC Foundation, has named Francesco Pianca as its new chief program officer, effective Nov. 1. He brings over a decade of experience leading sustainability initiatives at global brands. Pianca joins ZDHC after a 10-year tenure at Burberry, where he led the supply chain’s sustainability and chemical management practices. In this new role, Pianca will help advance ZDHC’s 2030 strategy, focused on cleaner chemistry for resource efficiency, carbon reduction, biodiversity protection and circularity.
