Industrial and custom fabric and component supplier MMI Textiles has added to its portfolio with the acquisition of New Jersey-based knit textile manufacturer Jason Mills.
MMI, which supplies textiles for military, tactical, medical, commercial and apparel use, picked up Jason Mills as part of its growth strategy into other categories. Jason Mills produces high-performance knits for the recreational trade, occupational safety, aeronautical, automotive, marine and healthcare industries, along with producing filtration and industrial textiles.
“We have had the privilege of working with Jason Mills for many years and have tremendous respect for their approach to business, which aligns seamlessly with the culture we’ve built at MMI Textiles,” said Amy Bircher Bruyn, founder and CEO of MMI Textiles. “This acquisition marks an exciting milestone as we continue to grow and strengthen our position in the textile industry. We are eager to integrate their expertise, resources, and innovation to better serve our customers and address the evolving needs of the market.”
Originally founded as an apparel company, Jason Mills has since expanded its product outreach to include technical materials such as spacer fabrics, fire-resistant textiles and highly UV-resistant fabrics.
“Since 1976, Jason Mills has been providing quality fabrics to industries as diverse as healthcare, occupational safety, aeronautical and in recent years to the indoor golf simulator market,” said Michael Lavroff, CEO and president of Jason Mills. “And we will continue to provide innovative solutions, quality materials and outstanding customer service to the industries it serves well into the future.”
