Herno’s presentation made you long for a rainy day. But rather than cuddling up in front of the TV, the urge would be to fend off the weather with one of the brand’s Technicolor trenchcoats. A jungle theme was established with a set surrounded by cascades of water and lush plants, and was expanded on with a jacket with a leaf pattern with neon-yellow details or a robe manteau with flowering vines interspersed between thin and wide stripes in natural colors. Though the brand’s design team can rely on almost 70 years of company history, it delivered a collection that also incorporated contemporary trends — petal sleeves, for example — with research and technology, such as jackets mixing scuba and leather; linen and polyurethane and water-repellent taffeta. Three videos by Marco De Giorgi, Angelo Stamerra Grassi and Marco Bertani ran in the background to further convey the brand’s vision.
