Aside from his selection of trenchcoats of varying shapes and colors, Jean Touitou’s exploration of “the power of uniforms in fashion” for A.P.C. was less than obvious.
A group of late-Sixties-style tie-neck print blouses paired with office-girl skirts had a geeky sex appeal and the print dresses were pretty. The cool factor the designer is renowned for was provided by a V-neck brushed-cotton jumpsuit and a series of pale denim looks, including a striped shirt-and-shorts combo.
Vanessa Seward also presented her final capsule collection for A.P.C. She will launch her own lineup, backed by the French label, next spring.
