Yeohlee Teng loves math and used exact measurements rather than draping to create her clothes, which gave them a precisely articulated geometry. This was evident mostly in her Bermudas, palazzo pants and jersey dresses, like a black-and-white cotton triangular version, that result in the silhouettes that are her signature. A red-and-white splash print on jackets, a dress and hoodie with shorts added a fun moment, and her paperlike fabrics, used for jackets and blouses, were especially interesting. This cohesive collection was lighthearted without losing the thoughtfulness that Teng is known for and an oasis of calm, controlled design in an otherwise overheated fashion week.
