With her pretty spring collection, Nigerian designer Lisa Folawiyo proved again that Africa deserves a place on the fashion map.
The designer reworked traditional Ankara printed fabrics that she mixed and matched with pieces in graphic patterns for feminine, sophisticated separates and dresses.
The straight-lined silhouettes were made more dynamic and flattering through pleats and plissé inserts incorporated into colorful cocktail frocks and long column styles, which were embellished with beaded fringes for an extra dose of fun.
