Ermanno Scervino harked back to the Sixties with a spring collection that evoked the golden days of La Dolce Vita.
Raffia was a key element. It was used on a turquoise bustier that dipped low in the back and was cropped to show a band of flesh above the waistband of a matching pencil skirt. More elegant, perhaps, was the natural raffia wrap skirt worn with a belted black mesh and lace sweater.
Bra tops, cropped pants and off-the-shoulder sweaters added to the sensual vibe.
Scervino lost his way with a sequence of light blue outfits with tone-on-tone fabric blooms creeping across sleeves, necklines and waists. The fussy looks seemed out of sync with the rest of the lineup.
More convincing were the coats and jackets rendered in ultralight fabrications, such as a lattice-effect cream coat with a pristine white fur collar.
