Joseph creative director Louise Trotter played with volume and texture for this gutsy collection that drew its inspiration from origami, geisha wardrobes and urban sportswear.
Her pieces, with their work wear feel and dramatic flourishes, were not for the faint of heart: There were chunky, enveloping fisherman knits; heavy denim dresses with pleats or obi like folds at the waist; and flowing silken coats with multiple folds that fluttered as models walked past.
Tempering all the heaviness were skinny rib-knit dresses with transparent panels, and breezy French lace skirt and blouse ensembles.
