“Digital Romanticism” was the theme Fyodor Podgorny and Golan Frydman explored for their playful spring collection, which was infused with a futuristic feel. The designers worked high-tech fabrics, like satin woven with plastic threads. Silhouettes were feminine and included flared skirts and exaggerated full frocks printed with multicolored digital patterns and embellished with plastic floral appliqués.
While the overall mood was somewhat over-the-top for the urban jungle, Podgorny and Frydman also delivered looks that were easier to wear, including a girly miniskirt and matching sweatshirt peppered with a vivid tropical-leaf motif, or pretty fur-and-leather intarsia bomber jackets with technical-fabric inserts.
Emphasizing the digital mood running through the lineup, the designers teamed with Microsoft to develop a pyramid screen that projected the show in real time, along with live images shot with Lumia 830 smartphones.
