A camping trip in the mountains of Ireland and an imagined girl gang living off grid were the jumping-off points for Danielle Romeril’s collection.
Rarely has self-sufficiency looked so pretty. Khaki utility jackets and vests were embellished with lace inserts; dresses came with exaggerated utility pockets; and jackets with integrated, but removable backpacks.
The standout was a wisp of a jacket in a camouflage fabric that Romeril crafted using lace, silk organza and silk georgette – all laser-cut together using a thermoplastic film which was then bonded onto more lace.
