Ballantyne creative director Roberto Menichetti said he wanted to add an “aristocratic feel” to sportswear.
To this end, he worked natural fabrics in high-tech constructions into chic-yet-functional outerwear pieces. These included a cotton-mohair hoodie with cashmere sleeves in the brand’s iconic diamond pattern, as well as a stretch-cotton trench worn over a weightless cashmere twinset and miniskirt.
Celebrating Ballantyne’s Scottish roots, Menichetti also offered a practical new take on the kilt: shorts covered by a flat apron.
