Inspired by Ernest Hemingway’s “The Old Man and the Sea,” Kinder Aggugini showed a print-heavy collection with a nautical theme. Typical sailor tattoos — swallows, mermaids, swordfish, and ships’ wheels — adorned pinafore dresses and paneled skirts. Broderie anglaise appeared on dip-dyed tailored jackets while a vintage map tea-towel print faded into a gingham dress. For evening, the long tentacles of octopi crawled over devoré dresses. These shipwrecked lasses also sported clogs by the Swedish company Hasbeens, and hats by Stephen Jones.
