There’s something to be said for a designer who knows her aesthetic — and sticks with it. Such is Tess Giberson, whose spring collection continued down her moody path, where mannish suiting paired up with delicate knits and transparent accents, forming a perfectly stripped-down look. But while fall was all about layers and volume, this season Giberson took her clothes down to their bare roots, slicing away strips of fabric on a dress, unraveling the hems on trousers, bleaching out color. These clothes were not tricky, yet the subtle details made each of the 25 looks feel special.
