At G-Star Raw’s show Tuesday night, models literally popped out from Plexiglas cylinders on stage in all their sleekly tailored denim glory — the cornerstone of every G-Star Raw collection. Designer Pierre Morisset isn’t one for gimmicks when it comes to design and the women’s clothes — majorette jackets, pleated blazers, slouchy jeans — are good examples of his retail-ready wares, while the sexy yet structured bodysuits added a bit of punch. G-Star hybridized men’s wear to the hilt, especially in the fusion of formalwear and workwear. Piranha prints, tricky jeans and superlow crotches were the key takeaways.
