For his secondary collection, I’m Isola Marras, the designer turned his focus to Venice Beach, Calif. — where the girls are younger and friskier than his Antonio Marras customer. The designer’s dog, Pierivo, served as his resort muse, appearing in prints and embroideries on T-shirts and sweaters.
Long, airy dresses and loose jogging pants in solids mixed with flowers, checks and stripes in a bold palette of neon yellow, shocking pink and acid green. There were also overalls for the tomboy, a baby-doll dress and tiny sweater for the flirty girl, and stretch sheaths for the more sophisticated.
