With a delicate wildflower print as her starting point, Katharine Polk balanced soft femininity against men’s wear silhouettes for her Houghton resort lineup: Think overalls in black lace or a romantic yellow wrap blouse, cropped and low-cut, paired with oversize, wide-legged trousers. The result was cool and never precious.
Other standout looks included a tomboyish short suit with a ruched, fitted jacket and a pale blue shirtdress with a cutaway hemline. “What I do is take our staples and bestsellers and try to reinvent them,” Polk said of her pragmatic approach to the season.
